Stupid Questions

Post by Darkcrest »

Hello folks,
I know this is posted somewhere, however I can't find it. So after a few hours of trying to find the information I want, I have decided to post.

I am having a issue getting the DCS to connect to my MySQL server.
This is the info I get:
1- You have tried to change from MS Access to MySQL. Restart DCS and go directly to MySQL.

I have uninstalled the DCS then reinstalled, still same thing.

Any help in this area would be appreciated. Thanks in advance,
DC

Thanks for the reply, 4Shades.

Got to tell you, it took me alot longer than I thought to get it setup. That's only because I didn't see what I needed at frist on the Installation Guide.

Once I got it all figured out, it worked like a charm!

I am SOO impressed that I was able to get it up and running. It was a challenge, that turned into some real fun!

Right now, I am running your Motobu Assault - Okinawa template as a benchmark to test things see if it is all working correctly. So far, it seems to work just fine.

Had a few problems with a "Carrier mod" that stacked alot of planes on the deck of a carrier with foldable wings. However, taking that one out might solve the problem. Gonna re run the mission to see if that fixes it.

So far, I am extatic about getting this to run. Best part is, it does interefere with the business side of my website.

Thanks to you and your crew of developers!

Yeah, we've flown lots of carrier campaigns. The standard game will give air starts automatically once the deck parking limits are exceeded.

Hi all! We are installing SEOW for the first time and have run into the same problem DC originally posted about. I'm curious as to what ODBC stuff you needed to install to get DCS to connect to your DBs. Could you point this noob in the right direction? :)

Thanks!

Hi Dart,

It is all at the SEOWiki: http://seowwiki.swil.fr/index.php?title=Requirements

I think DC needed to install MyODBC.
