Editing Features In Mission Planner

Post by BS8th_Bulau »

Since I'm not a database programmer (or any programmer), this question may seem clueless on some level, but...

Are there any plans, for future updates, to make the Mission Planner behave more like the Full Mission Builder insofar as editing missions is concerned? It would be so great to be able to do some of these things, both while laying out the mission, and if possible, even after committing the mission:

Move or delete a waypoint (before and after commission)
Add or change the briefing (after commission)
Edit the aircraft and loadout (after commission)

I'm finding that I'm laying out most my missions at least twice because I have forgotten some small detail, and there is no way to fix it except to cancel the entire mission and redo it from scratch.

Also, it would be nice to be able to zoom-in, at least to some extent. It's very hard to lay out ground movements precisely when looking at the MP map.

Hi Bulau,

These things have been requested before. I agree that they would be useful, but I have had other priorities. Note that you can delete waypoints (before Commit), but in general it could be easier to manage waypointing and mission details than it presently is.

Cheers,

Roger, I understand priorities!

Please don't take my wishlist as a criticism of the SEOW program. I am continually astonished as the depth and power of it. You've truly done an amazing thing here, 4Shades!
