Sometimes the DCS gets confused, I'm not sure why. To fix this, select "Use MS Access" and hit "Clear Connection", then select "Use MySQL" and clear that connection too. Close the DCS. Start the DCS, select "Use MySQL" and enter connection settings. Should work now.
I'm afraid it doesn't work. I've cleared both type of connections, restarted DCS, but it says no.
Just started appears that error message, without doing anything, and before doing anything.
To 'avoid' this message, I have to reinstall the program (uninstall it and install it again), but when I launch it and I insert the connection info... this message is shown again.
Install local Access Database
Try to connect it (on database1 slot)
Try connection
Is it good ?
... then Close DCS
Open again DCS and change to Mysql connection
Set parameters and Try connection
I have the same problem, following the solutions as mentioned above doesn't solve the problem for me.
Everytime I try to connect I get the same error. I have installed it on my Vista 64bit system with ODBC 3.51.21 and .NET 3.0. I have no problem connecting to MySQL with the ODBC-link and also MP retrieves the data correctly from DB.
I tried installing DCS on my XP laptop. At first I had the same problem but after closing and reopening DCS it had already selected the MySQL database and I was able to connect. On my Vista system it doesn't remember that I selected MySQL previously.
At the moment I'm running out of options, could anybody help me in solving this problem? Thanks!
DCS is built explicitly under .NET 2.0 and (32-bit) XP. I know that Crazyivan was experimenting with DCS on 64-bit software, so I'll see if I can get him to join this thread.
