Set the engagement range to 2 meters for both of tanks and they won't shoot. Yes, but then the ships won't shoot, or the flak, or you won't have such good immersion when you are flying in an IL-2 mission. Why would you feel stressed and try to get to the front lines ASAP to help your Shermans there...

Enforced landings PER SIDE?

Hi Shades, I was thinking about making a historical template for Operation Husky, ie. the firs few days of it, since our central Med and Malta maps show just that part of Sicily... However, the biggest problem was that the blue side would have nowhere to land after the first ground battles start to ...

Shades, I think we didn't understand each other :) It is not a problem of sync between platforms, I am well aware that the MP is going to analyze every turn separately and update the situation. What if you have a platoon of 4 tigers vs 15 IS2 in your 9am mission... The TOW guys play it out and by ca...

Yeah, ok, but the issue stay the same: IL-2 turn has an all-round effect, whilst the RTS and SH turns are very limited, kind of "zoomed-in" events... I am just saying that people participating in these zoomed-in battles have to be ready and ok with the fact that their result is going to be...

Condolences, on behalf of the 102nd YU squadron.

We have also lost one of our members in a car accident and we have an idea of how you feel.

We are very sorry for your loss.

May your friends rest in peace.

It is a nice idea, but... What happens if the unit in the IL-2 move interacts with a unit which is relevant to a move from another platform? Let me give an example: You insert a move in SEOW with Silent Hunter; people man their subs, engage some surface ships, sink some cargo and emerge victorious, ...

Can previous orders be collapsed somehow?

They are really great to have but they stick on top of the orders tree, so it is getting harder to see new orders. Can they be moved to the bottom?

Question: recon altitudes

Hi Shades, Is it possible to "detect" the altitude of a human recon plane, at the moment of smoke triggering, via the SEOW radar log interface? The idea is that the human recon missions would be much tougher and more challenging if the altitude from which the photo is taken, is actually de...

Hi Shades, sadly I drowe a couple of tanks towards some infantry positions (4 full squads) and they were all anihilated by tanks(no foxholes obviously). Thing is tanks start shooting from 800m. Anyway, I didn't see any bazookas being fired, how do they look like? Is it visible? Maybe we should incre...

Hi Shades, This news is good, but I'd still like to know if they are going to be harder to destroy than usual infantry. I am thinking of this: in real war you can't charge with a bazooka into some tanks and attack; if you do, you can't fire while moving, and you are a great target yourself. Now in I...

About infantry

Hi all, I was thinking that infantry is very hard to see from air as it is now. At the same time, we are making more and more use of it in our campaigns. What I propose in order to make infantry more targetable from the air is a system similar to artillery pieces when the option: "Enable Automa...
