Seperate waypoint max allowable for rail
Looking at the movement tab in the DCS would it be possible to add or seperate the rail movement waypoint limit so that this can be set seperately. I would like to have the ability for rail waypoint limits to be set seperately as rail is in most cases (in my opinion of course, no actual data refered...

You can still add your own buildings to a campaign. You just place them down in the template mission file an they will be there for the duration of the campaign. This can even include additional factories if you also add them to the industrial Installations table as well. Its just the editing of the...

Roads and the rail lines are indeed a graphic layer but bridges are encoded into the static file with all the other objects and changes elsewhere in the static file can result in bridge code changes. An example: In one map the summer buildings were given a winter texture to hopefully create an ident...

Yes 4Shades is spot on, any changes to the static file can (and probably will) change those codes. I highly recommend you stick with an unmodified map on which the original data was captured. If needed, name changes or additions can be made to the SEOW artwork for that particular map sector in the m...

I like the entrenchment delay as well. Not a big fan of having them stand up in the open as stated in point 1 but there is no mid way of doing it in IL2 ie. lying down or finding cover behind trees etc. The dig in delay is more realistic to obtain an entrenched position. I also like the larger trenc...

Yes I saw that in Westfront 44 with the grass fields, however in 40 all of the airfields are grass (with the exception of Essen) so there is no defining factor on how to determine a temporary airfield. If I recall almost all if not every airfield has buildings which makes them appear more permanent....

Maybe. I have had a good think about using temporary airfields but I look at this map as being active in not just military airfields but active civilian ones also as its the scene just before active war is upon the area. I should probably place a reserve on a number of temporary airfields just in ca...

Hi Kopfdorfer, being an active member of the HQ team I am glad to see your interested to see you getting actively into SEOW. I would like to make an observation on your objectives. I can see your keen to get started on your campaign as soon as possible but knowing what is involved in what your tryin...

Hi All, I just want to reserve airfield layout numbers 629 to 712 for Westfront 40. I just realised that new maps are being captured and just want to request this before double ups occur. I hope this hasn't created a problem for you JP as I know you have started on Moscow. I have created more than 2...

Skill levels shown at airfields
As flights based on aircraft carriers are shown with their skill level, could aircraft flights at airfields be listed in the same way?

With the latest MP update to v6.0.42 I'm having the problem where I cannot select the tick box in planned flights. It appears I can select ground unit missions ok but I cannot select flights at all with the mouse. I get the same results with both my own system and HQ. No matter where I click on and ...

Hi Kopfdorfer, the playability settings are there to help keep the frame rates under control. How many players, the numbers on units on the move per mission, how many ships, aircraft etc all have an effect. Tweak these settings to suit the campaign and of course the host PC that is going to run the ...
