New Tool Announced - Technics Processor Tool v1.0

Post by IV/JG7_4Shades »

Hi all,

This has been a pet project of mine for the past few months, and it has been released with SEOW v6, and recently updated into the MP v6.0.3 release.

Check it out at the SEOW Wiki: http://wiki-seow-en.swil.fr/index.php/C ... hnics_File

Cheers,

Wow Shades this is awesome! I have used modified technics files in the past but always provided by someone else. I have looked in there many times in an effort to tweak some bits around and gain an understanding but without much luck however this makes a big difference. Thank you

Wow, in my opinion one of the most important steps for SEOW-Kind!!!

This is mandatory for everyone with a weakness for historical accuracy in their battles.

Thank you 4Shades.

I had heard that you have perfected the historically accurate technics file Emil. Where would a person get their hands on said file?

Added technics "HeadYawHalfRange" parameter to the Gunnery view of the Technics Processor Tool, and added this parameter to the SQL queries for Object_Specifications (Gun_Arc column).

This is v1.1

great stuff!!! thanks a lot for this. we are also always working on our technics.ini ;)

one small suggestion (cosmetic): a small picture of the object (from the object list in seow) if you move the mouse over the object name + plus the real name of it to identify it even better.

thanks again for this great feature!

ps: never thought that cliffs of dover dies before il2 1946 ;)

pps: thank you emil for your technics file! i will have a deeper look into it later, but it seems well done!!

And, for completeness, I have added FireFastTargets to TPT and corrected a variable initialization bug. Now at v1.3.

Phil's idea about linking object images is interesting. I will think about it.

What about the stationary to fire variable? I read that in the Kursk battles T34 crews only fired at close range but once embroiled in a dogfight they did not stop to fire unlike the Panther and Tiger crews who would select a target whilst moving and briefly stop to fire before moving again.

What variable is that? I can't see it in the technics file.
